Fallingwater, the Edgar J. Kaufmann house in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, is renowned for its dramatic projection over a waterfall on Bear Run creek. This presentation will explain how Fallingwater was conceived and constructed in reinforced concrete and local sandstone, and how it has been maintained against the forces of nature since 1937.
Jack Quinan, Ph.D. is Martin House Curator Emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors of the Martin House Restoration Corporation. He is a founding member of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy and the author of several books on Frank Lloyd Wright.
