Education at the Martin House
TAKE WRIGHT HOME
Back to main Education page

We believe in “education through product,” and carry a wide array of educational items in our Wisteria Shop. Find a range of books, toys and games related to Frank Lloyd Wright, the Martin House and architecture. Stop in before or after your tour for the “Wright” item to take home.

Please note that school group tours do not include a stop in the Wisteria Shop.

EDUCATIONAL MISSION

The MHRC is dedicated to providing life-long learning opportunities for all ages, from young audiences to adults.

We encourage an understanding of timeless themes underscored by visiting the Martin House: family, friendship, the meaning of home, and the American spirit. Such themes are apparent in the remarkable story of how Darwin D. Martin’s patronage of America’s greatest architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, influenced a revolution in architecture, culture and American life.

Our educational resources will offer you learning experiences aimed at: increasing your knowledge of Frank Lloyd Wright; interpreting the context in which Wright’s architecture created such a significant impact on history and culture; enhancing your understanding and appreciation of the world-class architectural heritage of Western New York.
